Terms of Service
The terms that govern use of the Flopay website and Flopay payment services provided by FTC Inc. in Guyana.
Last updated: 7 November 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Flopay website at flopaygy.com and of Flopay services, platforms and hardware provided by FlowCatalyst Technology and Consulting Inc. (“FTC”, “Flopay”, “we”, “us”). Merchants who use Flopay payment services also sign a merchant agreement. If the merchant agreement conflicts with these Terms, the merchant agreement applies.
1. About Flopay
FTC is a company registered in Guyana. It operates as a payment facilitator under the banking licence sponsorship of Demerara Bank Limited (the sponsor bank). Card acceptance is subject to the rules of the card networks (Visa and Mastercard) and of the sponsor bank.
2. Using this website
- The information on this website is general and is provided to help you understand our services. It is not financial, legal or tax advice.
- Prices, fees and features shown are correct when published but may change. Your merchant agreement and the fee schedule you accept at sign-up set out the fees that apply to you.
- You must not misuse the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to our systems, or use it for unlawful purposes.
- Links to third-party websites (such as news outlets and social networks) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
3. Merchant services
- Merchants must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date. We may decline or end a merchant relationship where required by law, the card networks or the sponsor bank.
- POS system usage is subject to proper training, adequate internet access and merchant compliance with our user guides and operating procedures.
- Merchants are responsible for the goods and services they sell, for keeping devices secure, for keeping user IDs and PINs confidential, and for following card-network rules, including rules on refunds and disputes.
- Terminals remain the property of FTC unless agreed otherwise in writing, and must be returned in good condition at the end of the rental. Faulty hardware will be replaced as set out in the merchant agreement.
- Fees include the rental fee and the transaction fee (merchant discount rate, MDR) shown in your agreement. Additional users and consumables may be charged as published.
4. Settlement
We aim to pay card sales into your nominated bank account on the third business day after the transaction. Settlement timelines are based on banking partners and payment platform processing. FTC facilitates but does not control when final funds are credited. We may hold or adjust settlement where a transaction is disputed, reversed, suspected to be fraudulent, or as required by the sponsor bank or card networks.
5. Disputes and chargebacks
A cardholder may dispute a transaction with their bank. Where a dispute is raised we will notify you and ask for evidence. If the dispute is decided against you, the amount may be deducted from future settlements. See disputes in our Help Centre.
6. Digital contracts
All contracts signed through FTC-authorised e-signature platforms are binding under applicable digital signature laws. Please verify contract content before signing.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, FTC is not liable for misuse, misconfiguration, failure to follow operational guidelines, or interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as power, network or bank outages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Intellectual property
The Flopay name, logo and website content belong to FTC. Merchant logos shown on this site belong to their owners and are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse our content or marks without written permission.
9. Complaints
Please contact us first. If you are not satisfied, you may escalate to Demerara Bank Limited, 214 Camp Street, North Cummingsburg, Georgetown, or write to the Bank of Guyana, Lot 1 Church Street and Avenue of the Republic, Georgetown.
10. Changes and governing law
